Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services or designee, assume responsibility for each assigned patient. Assess patient and correlate clinical findings with exam request. Assess patient�s ability to undergo the procedure. Obtain pertinent data from patient�s chart and document all data. Educate patient for exam. Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment. Select technical factors/ parameters/sequences to produce quality images. Evaluate images for technical quality. Administer the appropriate radiation dose. Assist physicians in performing procedures.Provide functional or technical supervision of radiology aides, other assigned non-technical employees and other practitioners, as applicable. Provide supervision and instruction to assigned affiliating students.Equal to four years of college or equivalent. Registered Radiology Technologist with current licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. CPR and IV certification required. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
