Great NEW Opening for a Medical Technologist (ASCP) who has a passion for Special Chemistry and Toxicology! This uniquely specialized position is a Lead opportunity for an MT with 4 years of experience in Special Chemistry or Toxicology. Must qualify as a supervisor under state laboratory licensure regulations (CLIA). Experience with mass spectroscopy platforms is preferred. Bench duties approximately 60% of the time.
The MT in this position will be responsible for technical oversight of manual and automated serology, ELISA, Electrophoresis, and toxicology at a Level 1 Trauma Center with a Children's Hospital and extensive Outreach Lab program.
Job Duties
- Training and competency evaluation for all staff, method validation, proficiency testing oversight, review and revision of procedure manual, forms and other required documents.
-This position will focus on technical and quality oversight, not supervisory tasks.
The ideal candidate in this position is an ASCP certified Medical Technologist with at least 2 years of Lab experience on the Bench with testing with hemoglobin, electrophoresis, and protein.
