Radiologic Technologist/X-Ray Technologist in Delaware!
- Location: Newark, DE/Northern Delaware locations
- Schedule: Full-time; no weekends or holidays
- Compensation: $27–$40/hour
- No weekends/Holidays!
Position overview:
The Radiologic Technologist will provide outpatient orthopaedic imaging services, perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, apply radiation-safety principles, and evaluate images for technical quality. This is a patient-facing position within a busy orthopaedic practice.
Requirements:
- ARRT registration
- Active Delaware Radiologic Technologist license
- Experience working with PACS systems
- Strong patient-care and customer-service skills
- Ability to position and assist patients, including lifting or supporting patients when necessary
- Ability to work professionally with physicians, patients, and other staff members
Responsibilities include:
- Performing diagnostic X-rays using the PACS system
- Reviewing clinical information before examinations
- Preparing the X-ray room and explaining procedures to patients
- Positioning patients and adjusting equipment to obtain quality images
- Modifying standard views when a patient’s condition requires it
- Following radiation-protection procedures
- Reviewing images for quality before saving them to the patient’s file
- Updating the EMR and PACS
- Maintaining a clean, organized imaging area
- Assisting with supplies, braces, equipment sterilization, and other departmental needs
