Radiologic Technologist – X-Ray & CT | Multiple Openings | New Hampshire

Permanent & Full-Time Direct Hire
Radiology & CT | Hospital-Based | Multiple Schedule Options

A hospital-based imaging department located in western New Hampshire, approximately 1.5 hours from Manchester, is seeking experienced Radiologic Technologists to join its imaging team.

Two openings are available for qualified professionals who are licensed in both X-ray and CT or are willing to obtain the required CT registry within the designated timeframe. These positions offer unique weekend and overnight schedules and are well suited for technologists seeking alternative workweek arrangements.

Schedule

  • Two permanent openings available
  • Hospital-based radiology and CT environment
  • Opening 1: Saturday & Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, plus one Monday overnight, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
  • Opening 2: Friday, Saturday & Sunday overnights, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM
  • Weekend-focused schedules
  • Overnight coverage required for applicable position

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations according to established protocols.
  • Perform CT examinations according to established imaging protocols.
  • Prepare patients for X-ray and CT procedures and explain examinations clearly.
  • Verify patient identification, clinical history, and examination orders.
  • Position patients appropriately for radiographic and CT examinations.
  • Operate X-ray and CT equipment safely and effectively.
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques and CT protocols based on the examination ordered.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists.
  • Evaluate images for technical quality and obtain additional or repeat images when appropriate.
  • Administer contrast media for CT examinations according to established protocols and applicable requirements.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after imaging procedures.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to contrast reactions and patient emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation.
  • Follow radiation-safety and ALARA principles.
  • Perform quality-control procedures and report equipment issues appropriately.
  • Maintain compliance with departmental, regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
  • Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide compassionate and professional patient care.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment.
  • Participate in quality-improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional radiologic and CT responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous Radiologic Technologist experience required.
  • Must be licensed/registered in both X-ray and CT, or have a contracted commitment to obtain ARRT CT licensure within one year.
  • ARRT certification/registry required for applicable modalities.
  • Appropriate New Hampshire radiologic licensure required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
  • Strong knowledge of radiographic positioning, CT protocols, anatomy, radiation safety, and image quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently perform X-ray examinations.
  • CT experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong patient-care and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hospital-based environment.
  • Ability to work weekend and/or overnight schedules as assigned.
  • Commitment to patient safety, diagnostic quality, and regulatory compliance.
