A hospital-based imaging department located in South Florida, approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes southwest of Miami, is seeking an experienced Multi-Modality Imaging Technologist with Mammography and X-Ray experience to join its imaging team.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for an experienced imaging professional who is comfortable performing both mammography and diagnostic X-ray procedures. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of professional experience and be able to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Schedule

• Full-time, permanent position
• Day shift
• 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
• Four 10-hour shifts may apply
• Consistent daytime schedule

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform mammography examinations according to established protocols.
• Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations as required.
• Prepare patients for mammography and radiographic procedures.
• Verify patient identification, clinical history, and examination orders.
• Obtain and document relevant patient information.
• Position patients appropriately for mammography and X-ray examinations.
• Operate mammography and radiographic equipment safely and effectively.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
• Evaluate images for positioning and technical quality and repeat examinations when appropriate.
• Follow established mammography and radiographic imaging protocols.
• Provide clear instructions and compassionate care to patients throughout examinations.
• Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation.
• Perform quality-control procedures and assist with equipment troubleshooting.
• Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles.
• Maintain compliance with departmental, regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
• Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment.
• Participate in quality improvement activities.
• Perform additional imaging responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of professional imaging experience required.
• Mammography experience required.
• X-ray experience required.
• ARRT certification/registry required.
• Appropriate Florida radiologic licensure required.
• Required mammography credentials/certification as applicable.
• BLS certification required.
• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field required.
• Demonstrated ability to independently perform mammography and X-ray examinations.
• Strong knowledge of mammography positioning, imaging protocols, radiation safety, and image quality.
• Strong patient-care and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently in a hospital-based imaging environment.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality imaging, and regulatory compliance.
