Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Technologist specializing in Breast MRI to join our cohesive Orlando team. In this role, you will perform high-quality imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis of breast disease, supporting both patient wellness and the general operations of our clinical office.
A Day in the Life of our MRI Technologist:
  • Specialized Imaging: Perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures, with a primary focus on dedicated breast examinations, as prescribed by a physician.
  • Patient Preparation & Care: Prepare patients for exams, explain the procedure to reduce anxiety, position patients precisely for specialized breast coils, and assist them at the conclusion of the scan.
  • Contrast Administration: Safely prepare and administer gadolinium contrast media to patients; remain fully prepared to recognize and intervene in the event of adverse reactions.
  • Rigorous Safety Screening: Conduct multi-point screenings to ascertain any contraindications before a patient enters the magnetic field (e.g., pacemakers, implants, staples).
  • Clinical Documentation: Gather patient history and locate areas of symptoms to assist the radiologist in reporting an accurate diagnosis. Ensure all necessary consent forms are signed and processed.
  • Compliance & Environment: Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area while strictly observing OSHA and HIPAA requirements at all times.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a positive team environment by assisting in clerical, reception, or quality assurance tracking areas when needed to optimize patient workflow.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Monitor scanner operations and proactively report any maintenance or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate channels.
What You Will Need (Requirements):
  • Experience Required: Proven, hands-on clinical experience specifically performing Breast MRI examinations is strictly required for this role.
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited school with a training program in imaging technology.
  • Certification: Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Registered in MR (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is required (or must be obtained within one year of employment).
  • Life Support: Must possess or be able to obtain a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR/BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Physical Ability: Able to safely lift, move, and position patients as required for imaging.
