Radiologic Technologist in Maine

Job Summary:
As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform diagnostic imaging examinations to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. This role involves the operation of radiographic equipment, ensuring patient safety, and producing high-quality images while adhering to strict medical protocols and radiation safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and position patients accurately for image acquisition
  • Explain procedures to patients, ensuring comfort and cooperation
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment safely and efficiently
  • Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and oneself
  • Review images for quality and accuracy before submission to radiologists
  • Maintain precise patient records and documentation
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare team members
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of imaging rooms and equipment

Qualifications:

  • State licensure or certification (requirements vary by state)
  • ARRT certification
  • Basic Life Support
