Lead Radiologic Technologist (X ray) – Full Time

Location: Northwestern Vermont Region Setting: Hospital based imaging (Northwestern Medical Center) Schedule: Varying schedules available; full time options of 72 or 80 hours bi weekly. Other shifts may be available upon inquiry. Pay Range: $29.09 – $38.78/hr

About the Role

This Lead Radiologic Technologist role supports and guides a growing hospital imaging department serving the Northwestern Vermont region. With multiple openings across a range of schedules, this position combines hands on diagnostic imaging with leadership responsibilities. You’ll oversee workflow, support technologist development, and ensure high quality imaging across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic radiographic procedures following established protocols

• Provide day to day leadership, guidance, and support to imaging staff

• Ensure proper patient positioning, image quality, and radiation safety

• Assist with scheduling, workflow coordination, and departmental operations

• Support imaging needs across emergency, inpatient, and outpatient departments

• Document exams, patient history, and imaging details in the EMR

• Maintain equipment readiness and collaborate with leadership on quality initiatives

• Promote a patient centered, efficient, and collaborative clinical environment

• Follow all regulatory, safety, and quality guidelines

Requirements

• ARRT (R) certification

• Vermont state license required (or willing to obtain)

• Previous hospital imaging experience required

• Leadership experience preferred (lead, senior, or preceptor roles)

• Strong communication skills and ability to support a multidisciplinary team

• Ability to adapt to varying patient acuity levels and clinical demands
