Radiologic Technologist – Sterling, VA

Hours: Full-Time, Monday–Friday (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Core Responsibilities
  • Clinical Excellence: Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures as prescribed by physicians. Guide patients through physiological requirements and prepare/administer contrast media (barium) when necessary.
  • Patient Safety: Maintain a high standard of safety by utilizing proper technical factors, collimation, and shielding (ALARA). Recognize potential reactions to contrast and maintain readiness to provide emergency intervention/CPR.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Ensure all consent forms are executed and accurately input exam data into the system. Maintain strict HIPAA confidentiality and adhere to all corporate policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Department Support: Assist with clerical and reception duties as needed, including the management of patient files. Participate in ongoing quality assurance monitoring.
  • Collaboration: Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment and communicate effectively across all departments to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintenance: Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma (or equivalent) and graduation from an accredited imaging technology program.
  • Certification: Active registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Licensure: Must hold a valid state license for Virginia.
  • Physical: Ability to lift and position patients as required for imaging.
  • Life Support: BLS/CPR certification required (or obtained within one year of hire).
