Job Description

NEW MRI Technologist Opportunity – Evening Shift | Northern Vermont

A healthcare facility in northern Vermont is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist to join its Diagnostic Imaging team. This position is evenings, Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, with occasional on-call coverage.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI examinations following ACR guidelines and facility protocols

  • Adapt procedures to meet patient needs and ensure safety

  • Screen patients, alleviate anxieties, and provide age-specific care

  • Complete timely clinical documentation and maintain patient confidentiality

  • Participate in quality control, workflow optimization, and performance improvement initiatives

  • Support student rotations, preceptorships, and team education

  • Apply MRI safety standards, including cryogen, gradient, and RF field safety

Qualifications:

  • Registered MRI Technologist (ARRT, ARMRIT, or CAMRT)

  • BLS and IV Certification required

  • Preferred 1–2 years MRI experience

  • Strong technical, critical thinking, and communication skills

Work Environment:

  • Physical demands include lifting, standing, walking, bending, and occasional pushing/pulling

  • Exposure to electrical, mechanical, and magnetic hazards, and bloodborne pathogens

  • Adherence to PPE and safety protocols
