An ideal candidate for this position would have experience in Cardiac PET; however, training can be provided for the right candidate. Responsibilities & Requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Perform diagnostic PET procedures using positron emitting radionuclides and operating sensitive radiation detection equipment such as PET or PET/CT scanners.
  • Conduct PET or hybrid PET/CT scanning procedures in the Positron Emission Tomography section.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of nuclear medicine, PET, basic healthcare leadership, and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Manage and supervise daily operations, as well as the technology used in nuclear medicine and PET.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with relevant authorities such as RAM, IAC, and ACHC.
  • Provide technical mentorship to staff, aligning with hospital Key Result Areas, managing busy schedules, and offering support.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Education: An Associates Degree is required, while a Bachelors Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum Work Experience: At least prior years of experience in nuclear medicine/PET is required.
  • Hold a valid registration or certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist through the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT(N)) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Must have an Ohio license to practice as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Successfully pass the NMTCB-PET exam and maintain certification in PET specialty, renewing every 7 years as per NMTCB Specialty Board requirements.
