 Reports To: Imaging Manager / Radiology Supervisor
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate MRI Technologist to join our imaging team in Matthews, North Carolina. The MRI Technologist will perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures, producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role requires technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
-   Operate MRI equipment to perform a variety of scans in accordance with physician orders and imaging protocols 
-   Prepare patients for MRI procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort and safety 
-   Position patients correctly and use safety measures to prevent injury or discomfort 
-   Monitor patients during scanning and respond appropriately to any adverse reactions or emergencies 
-   Ensure high-quality images are obtained for accurate diagnosis 
-   Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in PACS and EMR systems 
-   Follow all safety regulations, including MRI safety protocols and infection control procedures 
-   Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate reporting 
-   Participate in equipment maintenance and quality control procedures 
Qualifications:
-   Graduate of an accredited MRI program 
-   ARRT (MR) certification or equivalent required 
-   Current BLS certification required 
-   Strong knowledge of MRI safety and procedures 
-   Excellent patient care, communication, and organizational skills 
-   Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
-   Prior MRI experience preferred but new graduates may be considered
