Radiologic Technologist - Elevate Patient Care with Your Imaging Expertise

As a Radiologic Technologist, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality imaging examinations, collaborating with physicians to inform accurate diagnoses, and providing compassionate care to patients throughout their healthcare journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a diverse range of diagnostic imaging procedures utilizing X-ray equipment and technology, with potential for future expansion to MRI (depending on experience and interest).
  • Position patients efficiently and adjust equipment to optimize image quality and patient comfort.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and maintain aseptic technique during all procedures.
  • Operate computerized radiographic systems with proficiency to capture accurate and diagnostic-grade images.
  • Analyze images for technical quality and collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate interpretation.
  • Provide clear and concise patient education before, during, and after procedures to alleviate anxiety and promote understanding.
  • Maintain comprehensive patient records and documentation of imaging procedures.
  • Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning.

Qualifications:

  • Valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) or X-ray Technician (XRT) from a nationally accredited program.
  • Demonstrated understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Proven proficiency in operating X-ray equipment and computerized radiographic systems.
  • Experience with additional imaging modalities like PET scans, sonography, or mammography (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for image interpretation and optimal imaging techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and instructions precisely.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes demanding healthcare environment.
