Radiologic Technologist/Medical Assistant

My Health Onsite operates onsite and near-site health and wellness centers. We deliver advanced personalized work-site healthcare solutions to employers that enhance patient engagement while proactively improving health outcomes. Patients may access a range of medical services including x-ray, an onsite pharmacy, wellness services, treatment for acute illnesses and chronic conditions. Our programs go beyond caring for the sick and injured - we make prevention our number one goal.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8a-5p Saturday Rotation 9a-1p
Essential Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and escort to exam room
- Prepare patients for radiology procedures and follow established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques
- Log radiological procedures, process routine documentation in EMR and logs
- Obtain and record vital signs (BP, heart rate, pulse oximetry, height, weight, waist circumference)
- Provide information and assistance to patients
- Perform blood draws, administer injections/vaccinations, and input medical information into EMR
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations; keep rooms neat, clean and well stocked
- Maintain patient confidence and ensure confidentiality of patient care information
- Assist the physician and medical staff with procedures and treatments
- Complete and document daily equipment checks and calibration
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates Degree, Graduation from a Radiology Technician Program
- Two years of recent clinical experience, preferably in primary or urgent care setting
- BLS for Healthcare Providers
- ARRT Certification
- BMO or CRT license
Preferred:
- Certified Medical Assistant or willingness to be cross trained for light Medical Assistant duties
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Understand CPT and ICD10 Codes
- Proficient knowledge of computer systems including electronic medical record (EMR)
- Proficiency with blood draws and injections
- Experience working with digital imaging
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff and patients using excellent written and verbal skills
- Friendly personality and ability to work well as a team member
