Job Description

TITLE: Radiology Tech
LOCATION: Lexington, Kentucky

Are you looking for a career change?

The county hosts several festivals and during the summer has a large county fair that draws in big crowds to the area.
Throughout the year, the county parks and recreation Department and YMCA offer plenty of sports-related activities for people of all ages.
The community has walking trail for the fitness enthusiasts or those who just love to connect with Mother Nature while taking a stroll on the many paths in our landscape.
The geographic location also appeals to newcomers. Not far away is Natural Bridge State Resort Park, with a 54-acre lake in Daniel Boone National forest, fishing, boating, playgrounds, cottages, lodges, and beautiful scenery.
Summary:
The Radiology Tech reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
Qualifications:
Graduate of a Radiology Tech program. Must have ARRT certification.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
Additional Info:
Facility is 80 bed acute care hospital.
Positions is evening shift from 3pm-11:30pm.
There is shared on-call of 1 day a week and every 6th weekend.
The range is $20hr-$34hr depending on experience. They have an excellent benefit package and will offer some relocation/sign on bonus.
