Key Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining up to date competencies and high quality standard of care for: 1. Treatment delivery and IMRT process flow 2. Verification simulation process flow 3. Setup simulation process flow 4. Clinical treatment process flow 5. Treatment delivery and imaging flow for SRS and SBRT 6. Dosimetry planning flow 7. Ensures all departmental policies are met 8. Demonstrates submission of accurate billing/treatment information to ensure compliance with related billing charges 9. Demonstrates radiation safety knowledge and compliance with state regulations 10. Maintains and ensures ACR practice parameters for radiation therapy 11. Fulfills the role and responsibilities of a licensed radiation therapist

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program. Preferably from an educational institution approved by the ARRT, JCERT, or the ACR.
  • Certification/Licensure: 1. Current Arizona Medical Radiologic Technologist certificate/licensure. 2. Certification by American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) registry in Radiation Therapy 3.
  • Certification: Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association

Preferences [Preferred attributes for the position which are not absolutely required in the minimum qualifications (i.e., multilingual, master’s degree)] Education: Associate’s degree or Bachelors’ with certification preferred
