Mammography Technologist
Location: 88th Medical Group, Bldg #830, 4881 Sugar Maple Drive, WPAFB OH 45433-5529
Work Schedule: Schedules Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM not to exceed 80 hours every two weeks. 9 hours a day including a 1-hour unbillable lunch period.
Qualifications:
Degree/Education (5.2.4): Certificate
Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support
o HCWs shall maintain current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers in accordance with American Heart Association or in an equivalent course based on published national guidelines for BLS, which includes both learning and psychomotor skills portions.
o Web-based classes do not meet required standards. Certification is not available at the MTF’s Education and Training section.
o The Contractor shall not bill, and the Government shall not pay, for any time HCWs spend on certification training.
o Failure of the HCW to obtain training does not release the Contractor from the contract requirement.
Experience: One year of experience
Board Certification (5.2.6.4.4): AART
Licensure/Registration: N/A
HCW Duties:
Perform a full range of complex and diagnostic mammographic examinations to include special views, needle localizations, and screening studies.
Performs quality assurance according
Schedule patients, explain procedures, prepare the patient, and assist the radiologist.
Consult with referring physicians and technicians in a variety of specialties such as family practice, internal medicine, and surgery clinic regarding patient’s examination.
