Job Description

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated MRI Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team in Long Island, NY. In this role, you will perform high-quality MRI scans while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate and timely diagnostic images in a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI scans according to physician orders, ensuring the production of high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols and comfort standards.

  • Review patient medical histories and relevant information to ensure appropriate imaging techniques are used.

  • Monitor patients throughout the MRI process, responding to their needs and ensuring safety at all times.

  • Operate and maintain MRI equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and healthcare regulations.

  • Evaluate images for clarity and diagnostic quality, ensuring all scans meet clinical requirements.

  • Accurately document patient information, scan details, and imaging results while maintaining confidentiality.

  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other medical staff to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.


Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in Radiologic Technology, MRI Technology, or a related field.

  • Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in MRI, or eligibility to obtain.

  • Active New York State licensure as an MRI Technologist.

  • Strong understanding of MRI safety standards, procedures, and protocols.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
