Position Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs quality diagnostic CT scans. The CT Technologist will have an above average knowledge of CT equipment. Complies with performance measures and/or activities to assure patient/customer satisfaction results, clinical quality benchmarks, and operational financial targets are constantly maintained. Complies with and participates in maintaining an environment which supports our philosophy and values.

HOURS: Primarily PM shift, but will also include some day and nights shifts as needed. Includes every 4th weekend rotation between 6am-6pm and 2 holidays per year.

EDUCATION

  • Knowledge of radiology standards and procedures as they relate to CT scan procedures normally acquired through graduation from an approved radiology school, an Associate Degree in Radiology, or sufficient on the job training to meet ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) certification and State of Wisconsin Radiographer licensure requirements

  • Additional courses with computer skill credits in cross sectional anatomy and/or credits in computer technology beneficial.

EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience in diagnostic imaging beneficial to enhance and develop skills

  • Previous experience in CT scanning and cross sectional anatomy beneficial

REQUIRED

  • State of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer license

  • Possesses ARRT (R) certification

  • Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of hire

OTHER

  • ARRT CT registered or completed within 18 months of hire and maintains thereafter

  • Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress, and to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of computerized tomography techniques and methods, and knowledge of cross sectional anatomy in order to obtain quality images
