Full-time Lead CT Technologist needed at a top hospital in Connecticut - 1 hour from NYC!

Currently seeking a Lead CT Technologist to join our team. Under direct supervision of the Chief Technologist of CT&MR, you will serve as a unit Lead Technologist for a designated modality or geographical service locale. Responsible for performing routine to complex CT procedures in accordance with established protocols under the direction/supervision of a radiologist. The lead will assist in the planning, direction, coordination and control of activities pertaining to their designated modality, and assist the chief in developing and implementing departmental objectives.

Major Accountabilities/Critical Responsibilities:
- Supervises and coordinates daily staff, including timecard and scheduling
- Performs quality assurance checks on equipment and procedure areas
- Develop and maintain modality protocols
- Performs procedure audits for quality improvement analysis
- Properly identifies and explains procedure to patient
- Starts IV access according to standard procedure and injects contrast media under the direction of a physician
- Prepares/positions patient for procedure
- Instructs students and residents and performs preceptor duties as needed
- Coordinates Preventative Maintenance (PM) for modality units
- Ensures proper safety standards are met
- Maintains Accreditation, all facets of new and re-accreditation, and actively collaborates with the chief tech and RSO in the evaluation and submission of CT dose reports
- Assists in maintaining supply inventory
- Participates in on-going service and process improvement efforts
- Communicates appropriately using good interpersonal skills

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Graduate from a formal Radiologic Technology Training Program approved by the American Medical Association
* Certified by American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)
* Licensed in State of Connecticut as Radiological Technologist
* Two years of experience as a Radiological Technologist
* CPR certified
* Advanced CT Certification required
