Description

Performs radiologic procedures and assists physicians and radiologists at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Responsible for special procedures, angiographic procedures, CT scans and related quality control monitoring as assigned. Ensures patient comfort and safety during procedures. Ensures a high quality of images produced. Responsible for availability and sterility of equipment and supplies used for assigned areas. Performs other related duties as assigned. Patients need care 24/7 and facility employees must be available to provide that care. Employees are to care for patients regardless of the patient’s personal characteristics.

Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiation Sciences.

Experience:

Experience:

Two (2) years’ experience as a Radiologic Tech plus two (2) years’ experience as a CT Tech. CT Registration may substitute for the 2 years CT experience required.

Licensure/Certification: NM Radiologic Tech licensure; ARRT Registration (Radiology); ARRT Registration (CT) preferred and will substitute for 2 years CT experience. Current BLS or obtain per policy upon hire; must maintain BLS Certification
