Respiratory Therapist/Pulmonary Function Technologist - Columbia, SC

A healthcare organization in the Columbia, SC area is looking for an experienced Respiratory Therapist / Pulmonary Function Technologist to join its outpatient pulmonary diagnostics team!

This is a great part-time opportunity for someone looking to pick up additional work alongside their current job, with flexible weekday scheduling and no nights, weekends, or holidays!

Position Highlights:

• Part-time, 1099 independent contractor position

• Flexible scheduling, 2–5 days per week

• Weekday daytime hours only

• No nights, weekends, or holidays

• Outpatient pulmonary testing in primary care clinics

• Independent work environment

• Local travel within approximately 45 minutes

Responsibilities:

• Perform pulmonary function testing, including pre- and post-bronchodilator spirometry

• Educate and coach patients through testing procedures

• Ensure accurate results and upload completed tests for physician review

• Monitor patient safety throughout testing

• Maintain equipment and follow quality and safety protocols

• Travel to assigned outpatient clinic locations

Qualifications:

• Previous bedside spirometry or pulmonary function testing experience required

• Knowledge of respiratory therapy practices and albuterol administration

• Strong communication and patient care skills

• Ability to work independently and travel between clinics

• Availability for 2–5 weekdays per week

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
