Permanent & Full-Time Direct Hire
Day Shift | Leadership | CT Imaging

A specialized outpatient imaging center located in the Washington, DC area is seeking an experienced Lead CT Technologist to join its imaging team.

This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced CT professional who is ready to take on a leadership role while continuing to provide high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services. The ideal candidate will have strong CT experience, excellent technical skills, and the ability to support daily departmental operations and other imaging staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform CT examinations according to established imaging protocols.
  • Serve as a lead resource for CT technologists and imaging staff.
  • Assist with daily CT department operations and workflow.
  • Ensure patients are properly prepared, positioned, and monitored throughout examinations.
  • Verify patient identification, clinical history, and examination orders.
  • Operate CT equipment safely and effectively.
  • Select and follow appropriate CT imaging protocols.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
  • Administer contrast media in accordance with established protocols and applicable requirements.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after CT procedures.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to contrast reactions and patient emergencies.
  • Assist with training, orientation, and ongoing development of CT staff.
  • Provide guidance regarding CT protocols, procedures, and technical issues.
  • Monitor image quality and address technical concerns as needed.
  • Assist with quality assurance and quality-control activities.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and workflow issues and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation.
  • Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental, regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Promote excellent patient care and a positive imaging environment.
  • Assist with departmental performance improvement initiatives.
  • Perform additional CT and leadership responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Prior CT Technologist experience required.
  • Previous lead or supervisory CT experience strongly preferred.
  • ARRT certification/registry required.
  • Appropriate radiologic licensure required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field required.
  • Strong knowledge of CT protocols, positioning, radiation safety, and image quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform CT examinations independently.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to mentor and support other imaging professionals.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outpatient imaging environment.
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality imaging, and regulatory compliance.
