CT Technologist – Night Shift | Eastern Ohio
Permanent & Full-Time Direct Hire
Third Shift | CT & X-Ray | Every-Weekend Commitment
A hospital-based imaging department located in Eastern Ohio, approximately 15–20 minutes east of Dayton, is seeking experienced CT Technologists to join its imaging team.
There are three openings available for experienced CT Technologists. The primary need is for technologists interested in third-shift positions with an every-weekend commitment, although weekday scheduling with weekend rotation may also be considered.
The ideal candidate will have prior CT experience and be comfortable performing both CT and X-ray examinations as needed. Candidates must hold ARRT registry, an active Ohio radiologic license, BLS certification, and an associate degree.
Schedule
- Full-time, permanent position
- Primarily third-shift/night coverage
- Every-weekend commitment
- Weekday scheduling with weekend rotation may be considered
- Likely night schedule: approximately 6:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
- 12-hour night shifts
- Approximately 72 hours per pay period for the night positions
- An additional day/evening opportunity may be available with a schedule of approximately 12:00 p.m.–12:30 a.m.
- Every-weekend commitment associated with the primary openings
- Exact weekend schedule to be discussed during the interview process
- Candidates may perform both CT and X-ray
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform CT examinations according to established imaging protocols.
- Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations as needed.
- Prepare patients for CT and radiographic procedures.
- Verify patient identification, clinical history, and examination orders.
- Position patients appropriately and operate CT and radiographic equipment safely.
- Select and follow appropriate imaging protocols based on the examination ordered.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists.
- Administer contrast media in accordance with facility protocols and applicable requirements.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after imaging procedures.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to contrast reactions and patient emergencies.
- Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation.
- Perform quality-control procedures and ensure imaging equipment is functioning properly.
- Identify equipment or image-quality issues and assist with troubleshooting.
- Follow radiation safety and ALARA principles.
- Maintain compliance with hospital, departmental, regulatory, and safety policies.
- Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, technologists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide compassionate, professional patient care.
- Perform additional CT and radiologic responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Associate degree required.
- ARRT registry required.
- Active Ohio radiologic license required.
- BLS certification required.
- Prior CT experience required.
- Experienced CT Technologists strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to independently perform CT examinations.
- Ability to perform both CT and X-ray procedures as needed.
- Strong knowledge of CT protocols, positioning, radiation safety, and image quality.
- Strong patient-care and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently during overnight and weekend shifts.
- Strong critical-thinking and troubleshooting skills.
- Commitment to patient safety, quality imaging, and regulatory compliance.
