CT Technologist II – North Carolina

Facility Size: Large academic medical center supporting Trauma, Stroke, Cardiology, and advanced interventional imaging teams.

Shift: 4×10 schedule (40 hours/week), part time classification per requisition. New grads welcomed. Additional shift options may be available upon request.

Compensation: $35.87–$51.57/hr (CT II hiring range) $33.37–$47.95/hr (CT I hiring range)

Job Summary: This role performs complex CT procedures supporting high acuity clinical teams, including Trauma, Stroke, Cardiology, and surgical services. Responsibilities include conducting advanced CT exams, analyzing diagnostic data, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support emergent and specialized imaging needs. The technologist assists radiologists with high risk invasive procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, CT guided joint injections, and needle wire placements. Additional duties include adjusting scan parameters to minimize radiation exposure, evaluating contraindications, coordinating care with providers, and performing specialized protocols such as CTA perfusion, Code IA/Stroke/Bat, Red Trauma Series, Yellow Trauma Series, ROSC, and Portable CT. The technologist manipulates parameters for cardiac and gated exams, performs multi planar and 3D reconstructions, administers contrast, triages anesthesia cases, and ensures optimal imaging quality throughout each exam.

Requirements: Completion of an accredited radiologic science program Three years of CT technologist experience ARRT registered or registry eligible Advanced CT certification required BLS required Must maintain registry status and annual CE requirements
