CareerStaff Unlimited is currently searching for a CT Tech in the Sacramento, CA area! This position is for a 13-week contract. JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. 2+ years of CURRENT experience
2. CT Tech Certification
3. CT Tech State License
4. ARRT Registered Technologist
5. Computed Tomography
6. Fluoroscopy License
7. Siemens trained preferred
8. Knowledge of technical factors and radiologic view
9. BLS(AHA)
10. PALS(AHA)

Education:

Graduate of a JRCERT accredited education program in Radiography. - Required

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues
2. Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies
3. Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes
4. Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients
5. Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions.
6. Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
7. Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
8. Explaining scanning procedures to patients and providing reassurance and support as required.
