• Responsibilities of the Technician Cardiac Cath Lab

Our Client’s Cardiac Cath Lab Tech is responsible for table side scrub in with a Cardiologist on various Cath lab procedures, e.g., diagnostic, left or right, and PCI heart catheterizations, to include peripheral interventions.

• The Technician works closely with perioperative/procedural team to find and implement solutions. Selects appropriate instrumentation, catheters, and supplies consistent with Cardiologist’s preference. Ensures sterile environment is set up and organized prior to patient's arrival into room.

Requirements of the Technician Cardiac Cath Lab

• Cardiovascular Anatomy and Physiology knowledge.
• Attention to detail, high level of accuracy.
• Must know how to use all equipment in Cath Lab, to include lifesaving critical care equipment, e.g., IABP, crash cart, defibrillator.
• Extensive knowledge in the use of an auto injector.
• Competent at table side scrub in with a Cardiologist on various Cath lab procedures, e.g., diagnostic, left or right, and PCI heart catheterizations, to include peripheral interventions.
