Job Description
Adelphi is seeking a forensic psychologist to provide services at a facility in Evanston, Wyoming. The forensic psychologist will provide forensic psychological services, including sanity and competency assessment, risk assessment, admission screening, and individual therapy.

Required:
• PsyD or PhD in Psychology
• Wyoming license/ Eligible for licensure in Wyoming

Knowledge and Competencies:
• Knowledge of psychiatric diagnosis, treatment, and medical conditions impacting patients.
• Knowledge of forensic assessment, to include knowledge of specialized assessment instruments and forensic interviewing skills.
• Ability to inscribe an integrated report and testify to said findings.
• Knowledge or psychopathology and proficiency in basic clinical interviewing and testing.
• Knowledge of germane clinical and forensic literature regarding research developments.
• Knowledge of the criminal justice system.
• Knowledge of principles and practices of personnel management.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct court-ordered forensic evaluations pursuant to Wyoming statute regarding competency to stand trial and criminal responsibility at time of the offense.
• Complete forensic reports and provide testimony in court when requested.
• Provide risk assessments for individuals adjudicated not guilty by reason of mental illness as ordered by the court.
• Perform risk assessment on civil cases to other units in the facility.
• Provide supervision and training of post-doctoral students and pre-doctoral interns on a primary or secondary level.
• May provide work direction to contract psychologists.
• Provide clinical psychological evaluation for purposes of admission screening, treatment planning and diagnostic clarification.
• Provide clinical psychological evaluation for purposes of readiness for discharge, community placement and guardianship.
• Diagnose and treat mental and emotional disorders.
• Utilize individual, group and family therapies and the use of cognitive-behavioral treatment techniques.
• Provide and interpret psychological testing, including the evaluation of mental illness, intelligence, personality, and neuropsychological functioning.
Salary and Compensation:
$116,556 - $129,516 plus benefits package, including: medical/dental/vision/life insurance, paid vacation and sick leave, paid holidays, state retirement plan, deferred compensation plan, and longevity pay.
