Clinical Psychologist Job Overview:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat mental and substance related disorders of individuals and administer programs of treatment.
  • Help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
  • Evaluate service members returning from deployment to screen for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury; diagnose and treat as indicated.
  • Interview patients and review medical and social case histories.
  • Provide neuropsychological and psychological testing as indicated.
  • Provide psycho educational briefings to commands and patient groups as requested.
  • Assist in coordinating and providing referrals for higher levels of care for mental and substance related disorders.
  • Evaluate and treat or refer service members for acute emergent conditions to ensure the patient's continued safety and wellbeing.
  • Provide evaluation for suitability and fitness for duty as regards administrative separation and, clinical intervention techniques directed toward treating the emotional conflicts, personality disturbances, and skill deficiencies underlying a person's distress and dysfunction.

Clinical Psychologist Job Qualifications:

  • At least two (2) years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist utilizing neuropsychological testing within the preceding five (5) years.
  • Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD)
  • Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
  • Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
  • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) by AHA

Position contingent on contract award with a Fall 2019 start date.
