Job Description
An adult correctional facility is seeking a clinical psychologist for locum tenens coverage.
There is never a shortage of things to do in Maury, North Carolina. Go paddling with Knee Deep Adventures, take a stroll through Hookerton Recreation Park, or visit Skylight Inn for some tasty BBQ!
The schedule is full-time, but they will consider part-time options. The caseload will largely depend on the population of individuals designated as needing mental health services at the facility at any given time. Clinicians are expected to see individuals on the caseload consistent with the policy. There are also referrals, suicide risk assessments, and other clinical duties that do not always fall into the caseload numbers. The EMR is HERO and training is provided. The custody staff provide a presence in the area where clinicians work, but they do not assign C/Os as one-on-one with clinicians unless they go to the housing unit. Patients can only be seen if there is a custody officer in the area.
