Job Description

A correctional facility is seeking a psychologist for locum tenens coverage.
While close to Spruce Pine, North Carolina, visit the Gem Mountain Gemstone Mine, the Smithmore Castle, and the Orchard at Altapass.
The schedule is full-time and will consider part-time options. The caseload will largely depend on the population of individuals designated as needing mental health services at the facility at any given time. Clinicians are expected to see individuals on the caseload consistent with the policy. There are also referrals, suicide risk assessments, and other clinical duties that do not always fall into the caseload numbers.
