Matrix Providers is hiring a Psychologist to join our team of talented professionals who provide healthcare services to our Military Service Members and their families in McConnell AFB, KS.
$5,000 relocation & $5,000 sign-on bonus for approved candidate!
- Employment Status: Full Time
- Compensation: This is a salaried position.
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 am - 5 pm.
Requirements: The Psychologist must have and meet the following:
- Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
- Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association-accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
- Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an internship in psychology
accredited by the American Psychological Association. - Experience: 24 months of experience within the last 36 months as a licensed clinical psychologist.
- Licensure: Current, complete, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands.
Job Summary:
- Practice within the guidelines of their state licensing board, American Psychological Association Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct, and MTF privileges.
- Conduct psychological evaluations utilizing information from clinical interviews,
psychological testing, and collateral sources, as appropriate. - Establish psychiatric diagnoses according to the American Psychiatric Association Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Disorders.
- Provide psychological treatment for individuals and groups; help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
- Assist in the rehabilitation of patients.
- Attends and participates in meetings during regular duty hours and professional staff conferences, and other appropriate professional activities such as but not limited to the following: professional staff meetings, Commander's staff meetings, Mental Health Flight meetings, and others required by applicable regulations, MTF guidance, or as directed by the Mental Health Flight Commander or his/her designated representative.
- The provider is responsible for and applies psychological procedures and techniques, including interviewing, behavioral assessment, evidenced-based therapies, and psychological testing/psychodiagnostic testing, to evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychological and neuropsychological disorders.
- Experienced and competent in at least one of three post traumatic stress disorder treatment modalities: cognitive processing therapy (CPT), prolonged exposure (PE), or eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR).
- As required, consult with medical personnel, legal authorities, and military commanders.
- Maintains accurate and current notes in the electronic medical record system.
- Participates in military-specific training (e.g., training to perform Command Directed Evaluations, security clearances, Military Training Instructor clearances, pre-post deployment screening).
