Summary:
  • The Neuroscience Researcher shall assist CHS in the support of the Vision Center of Excellence (VCE) in the advancement of vision-related education, training, and readiness and vision rehabilitation education across a wide range of constituents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of research and educational project goals and objectives.
  • Research and report new and historical trends on identified research topics.
  • Assist in the development of Clinical Best Practices, educational courses, presentation materials and webinars specific to VCE efforts.
  • Research, write, and edit manuscripts, reports and publications.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Must possess a PhD in Neuroscience from an accredited university.
  • A minimum 8 years in biomedical research.
  • A minimum of 3 years in writing scientific documents, vision specific preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years in government contracts, preferred
  • DoD, VA and/or DHA experience, preferred.

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
