Job Description
We are seeking LICENSED Psychiatric Technicians for Corrections facilities in California.
• 12 month contracts (WILL extend multiple times as needed)
• 8 hour shifts, 40 hours weekly
Location / pay rate / shifts available:
- Stockton, CA -- $50 hourly -- 6a-2:30p, 2p-10:30p, 10p-6:30a
- Crescent City, CA -- $51 hourly -- 6a-2:30p
- San Diego, CA -- $51 hourly -- 6a-2:30p
- Susanville, CA -- $51 hourly -- 6a-2:30p, 2p-10:30p
- Ione, CA -- $54 hourly -- 1:30p-10p
- Soledad, CA -- $54 hourly -- 6a-2:30p, 2p-10:30p
- San Luis Obispo, CA -- $57 hourly -- 6a-2:30p
REPONSIBILITIES:
- Give basic general behavioral and psychiatric care to mentally or developmentally disabled patients
- Conduct daily clinical monitoring of patients with signs and symptoms of mental illness;
- Assist in the development of group and individual therapy regimens
- Under general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Medical Doctor, perform psychiatric nursing procedures, such as administer medications and treatments, including hypodermic injections, take and chart temperature, pulse, blood pressure and respiration, and all other basic general nursing procedures within the scope of licensure
- Prepare and coordinate clinical appointment dates and times
REQUIREMENTS:
- MUST HAVE a current and valid license issued by the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician
- MUST HAVE current BLS issued by the American Heart Association
- MINIMUM 10 months of work experience (Internship DOES NOT count.)
