Key Responsibilities

Performs all studies proficiently, in a timely manner and according to policy • Explains the necessary steps for each procedure and test to patient and family members clearly and in a respectful and professional manner • Ensures that the patient and their family understands explanations • Discusses results of studies with physicians only • Performs clerical functions in an accurate and timely manner, such as but not limited to, ordering supplies, filing, charting, etc. • Accurately prepares data for physician interpretation (scoring) • Helps train Sleep Lab Tech I trainees when required • Maintains all equipment properly • Communicates with physician and customers in a knowledgeable, professional and courteous manner; performs all other related task as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2 years Polysomnography experience with at least 1 year of scoring.
• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Licensure: Polysomnography Registration RPSGT from BRPT or RST credential from the ABSM or eligble ([Register to View] )
• Certification: Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association

Skills/Knowledge: Has excellent verbal and written communication skills • Must be able to handle frustrations, personal as well as with customers, in a calm, courteous and professional manner

Preferences: Attendance and Certificate of Completion from a sleep studies school preferred and ASTEP Program completed
