Job Description
We are seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in Orlando, Florida on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This flexible opportunity allows you to provide high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining scheduling autonomy. The PT will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans to help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve overall physical function.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems to determine functional limitations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based physical therapy interventions aimed at reducing pain, improving mobility, and enhancing overall functional abilities.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, neuromuscular re-education, and modalities as part of treatment plans.
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and injury-prevention techniques to support continuity of care and promote long-term wellness.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including PTAs, physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain compliance with ethical, legal, and facility policies related to patient care and documentation.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate (DPT) or Master's (MPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Florida PT license or eligibility for licensure.
- CPR certification (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous clinical experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a flexible schedule.
Work Environment:
- PRN/as-needed position with flexible, variable scheduling based on facility needs.
- Ability to commit to shifts with reasonable notice and adapt to changing caseloads.
- Potential work settings include hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, or home health.
