As an Air Force Physical Therapist, you will be a key player in promoting and maintaining the physical health and performance of our Air Force members. Your role will involve evaluating, diagnosing, and treating musculoskeletal conditions, injuries, and rehabilitation needs. Collaboration with a diverse healthcare team and a commitment to delivering exceptional care in a supportive environment are integral to this position.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of musculoskeletal conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based physical therapy interventions to address various conditions, injuries, and rehabilitation needs.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
- Educate and empower Air Force personnel on injury prevention, rehabilitation exercises, and physical fitness strategies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
- Requires a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from a course in physical therapy accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
- A current license to practice physical therapy in a State or territory of the United States or District of Columbia is required.
* Outpatient orthopedic or sports medicine experience is strongly preferred but not mandatory.
* Orthopedic or Sports PT Board Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
