Physical Therapist (Full-Time)

We are currently seeking skilled and compassionate Physical Therapists (PT) to join our dynamic team at a not-for-profit, community-based Acute Care Hospital designated as a Critical Access Hospital that is located in the scenic Salinas Valley. The team is known for its close-knit culture, patient-first approach, and commitment to improving health equity in underserved areas.

These full-time positions offer opportunities to work across both inpatient and outpatient settings. While we welcome new graduates, preference will be given to candidates with at least 1 year of experience. Temp-to-perm arrangements will also be considered.

Job Summary:

As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate and treat patients referred by physicians using therapeutic procedures and modalities aimed at restoring function, reducing pain, and improving quality of life. You'll be working with patients of all agesfrom pediatrics to geriatricsunder the direction of the Director of Physical Therapy.

Work Schedule:

· Employee Type: Full-Time Regular

· Shift: Day

· Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (MondayFriday), with one hour for lunch

· Occasionally scheduled for a half-day on Saturday (once/month) with half-day off during the week to maintain a 40-hour week


Core Responsibilities:

· Evaluate patient needs and develop individualized care plans with measurable goals

· Administer treatments and therapeutic exercises based on physician orders

· Maintain detailed documentation: assessments, progress notes, discharge summaries

· Supervise and train Physical Therapy Assistants and Rehabilitation Technicians

· Attend and contribute to interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement initiatives

· Educate patients and families on home exercise and recovery plans

· Meet productivity benchmarks: 912 patient visits per day


Qualifications:

· Degree: Minimum Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy (2-Year)

· License: Current California Physical Therapist License

· Certifications : AHA BLS Certification (Active)

· Experience: Minimum 1 year preferred; new grads will be considered

· Language: Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred

· Management: Must be comfortable supervising PTAs and Rehab Technicians

· Experience with pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients is essential
