Job Description
We are seeking a PRN Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. In this as-needed role, the Physical Therapist will assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy programs designed to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance overall functional independence for our residents. This position is ideal for a compassionate, motivated professional seeking a flexible schedule while delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans

Implement evidence-based interventions to improve strength, balance, coordination, and functional mobility

Monitor, document, and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care

Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques and home exercise programs

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements

Ensure proper use and maintenance of therapy equipment

Stay current with physical therapy best practices through continuing education
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
-
Active Alabama Physical Therapist license
-
Experience in a skilled nursing facility or inpatient rehabilitation setting preferred (new graduates welcome)

Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical-thinking skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
