This comprehensive healthcare provider serves the Sarasota and Manatee counties in Florida. It comprises over 100 board-certified physicians across more than 20 specialties, offering a wide range of medical services such as primary care, specialty care, and physical therapy.
Position: Physical Therapist
Compensation: $27-48 /hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Summary: Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help patients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and achieve optimal functional mobility. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on patients’ rehabilitation and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and Evaluate Patients: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical condition, functional abilities, and movement patterns. Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluations and clinical judgment.
- Implement Treatment Plans: Provide hands-on therapy including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional training to improve patient outcomes.
- Monitor Progress: Regularly track and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals, home exercise programs, lifestyle modifications, and injury prevention.
- Collaborate with Team: Work closely with physicians, physical therapy assistants (PTAs), and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and effective care.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and policies to ensure the highest quality of care.
- Maintain Equipment and Environment: Ensure all therapy equipment is clean, functional, and safe for patient use.
Qualifications:
- Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
- Licensure: Current Florida Physical Therapist license (or eligibility for licensure).
- Experience: Previous experience in outpatient or orthopedic rehabilitation settings preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Certifications: CPR certification (preferred or must obtain upon hire).
