Position Summary:

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, support patients in achieving rehabilitation goals, and promote strength, mobility, and independence. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist

  • Provide hands-on patient care, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional training

  • Monitor and document patient progress; communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist

  • Educate patients and families on exercises, treatment techniques, and recovery strategies

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient care

  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

  • Current or eligible Alabama PTA license

  • Clinical experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Schedule & Compensation:

  • Status: Full-Time (typically 40 hours per week)
