Position Summary:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans, support patients in achieving rehabilitation goals, and promote strength, mobility, and independence. Key Responsibilities:

Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist

Provide hands-on patient care, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional training

Monitor and document patient progress; communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist

Educate patients and families on exercises, treatment techniques, and recovery strategies

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient care

Participate in staff meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications:

Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

Current or eligible Alabama PTA license

Clinical experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Basic computer proficiency for documentation

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
