Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
This position will float between the Rhinelander, Land O'Lakes and Woodruff Clinics. Hours will vary from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The Phlebotomist II performs laboratory procedures according to established and approved protocols that require the exercise of independent judgment and interpretation. These tests are performed under the direction of a Medical Technologist, section supervisor or shift leader.
EDUCATION
- Knowledge of laboratory standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a high school diploma or equivalent with successful completion of phlebotomy training course or equivalent experience
REQUIREMENTS
- Current CPR Certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
- Certification as a Phlebotomist by a national accrediting agency, i.e. ASCP, NCA, etc. or certification by a national accrediting agency in a related field whose training includes phlebotomy instruction and satisfies the requirements for certification as a Phlebotomist at the national level beneficial
