Looking for a pathologist assistant position in an award winning hospital in NYC? One of the most well established and high regarded hospitals in NYC is looking to add a certified pathologist assistant to their team.
Under the supervision of the Attending Pathologists, the Pathologist Assistant must be competent in all aspects of the Surgical Pathology gross cutting room which includes frozen sections, extensive knowledge of all Surgical Pathology specimens, gross examination of each specimen, providing a concise and detailed gross description and submitting appropriate tissue samples from all variety of surgical specimens. The PAs will also actively participate in pathology residents and medical students training. The PAs will also have an active role in the Autopsy service. Surgical Pathology section offers a pleasant and professional work environment.
Education and experience includes: A Master’s degree from an accredited PA program and ASCP certified is required. The ASCP fellowship examination in Pathologist Assistant must be successfully completed with a passing score within one year of employment.
