Job Description
NEW Pathologists’ Assistant – Full-Time | Day Shift
We are seeking a full-time Pathologists’ Assistant to join a busy clinical laboratory team on a day shift schedule. This role performs gross examination, dictation, and dissection of simple to complex surgical and autopsy specimens, working under laboratory leadership.
Key Responsibilities

Gross examination and dissection of surgical and postmortem specimens

Accurate specimen documentation and gross photography as needed
-
Maintain SOPs, inventory, and quality standards in the gross room/morgue

Participate in call rotation as needed

Assist with training and general laboratory operations
Requirements
-
Graduate of an approved Pathologists’ Assistant training program
-
NYS Pathologists’ Assistant license (or ability to obtain within 1 year)
-
Strong organizational, communication, and technical skills
Preferred
-
NAACLS-accredited PA program graduate
-
ASCP certification
Compensation
-
$88k–$140k annually
-
Full-time, non-union, day shift schedule
