A well-regarded community health center in the Springfield, MO area is seeking a School-Based Optometrist to join their team for a full-time opportunity!
- Pay: $140,000 - $150,000 annually

School-Based Optometrist Opportunity:
- Full-time, permanent, direct-hire position
- Schedule: Mon – Fri, day shift
- The Optometrist will work in a mobile unit, traveling to rural schools within a 50-mile radius.
School-Based Optometrist Responsibilities:
- Conducts comprehensive eye exams in a mobile, school-based setting using optometric equipment and diagnostic interpretation to assess vision, identify issues, and determine appropriate treatments and prescriptions
- Diagnoses and treats ocular disease and related eye disorders in students, prescribes medications and vision aids, and develops individualized care plans for follow-up
- Oversees mobile clinic operations and staff while traveling to school sites, ensures compliance with federal/state regulations and professional standards, maintains accurate patient records, and supports cross-functional care collaboration
School-Based Optometrist Requirements:
- Current, valid Missouri Optometrist license
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited school of optometry
- BLS Certification, or the ability to obtain within the first 90 days of employment
- New grads will be highly considered!
