with Golisano Children’s Hospital of SW FL (Lee Health)!

Located near the beaches of Southwest Florida is Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida - a state-of-the-art pediatric facility that delivers vital and lifesaving care for children and their families throughout the region. This 134 bed regional hospital cares for children across five counties and is the only children’s hospital between Tampa and Miami. Golisano provides a variety of specialized services to take care of all of our community’s children from emergency care to behavioral health, surgery to critical care, orthopedics, cancer treatment, cardiology, and more. The hospital has a 16 bed PICU and a 70 bed NICU with 24-hour in house neonatology coverage.

Position Information:

LPG Pediatrics seeks a full-time Doctor of Optometry from an ACOE-accredited optometry school for its

Southwest Children’s Charities Pediatric Eye Center of Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida. Physician should have completed a one-year residency program or have a minimum of 3-years clinical experience specializing in pediatrics. Candidate should be board certified or board eligible.

Optometrist should be comfortable performing a wide array of duties to include comprehensive eye exams, failed vision screenings, contact lens exams, strabismus assessments and follow-ups, glaucoma management, treatment of superficial injuries and conditions plus remove superficial foreign bodies in an outpatient setting. No call. Office uses EPIC for its EMR.

Optometrist will be located in a newly renovated building with the latest technology.
