Optometrist

We are seeking a talented Optometrist to join our team in Buncombe County, where we are building out a new optometry program that integrates Eye Health and Vision care as the fourth pillar of health services in addition to Medical, Dental, and Mental health. Our goal is to provide comprehensive care to our patients and improve their overall health outcomes. We offer a 4-day work week, competitive base salary plus production depending on experience, and a full benefits package that includes a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance with a 3-year commitment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive eye exams to assess and diagnose eye health and vision conditions

• Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids as needed

• Treat eye diseases and injuries, such as glaucoma, cataracts, and corneal infections

• Work with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists and primary care physicians, to manage patient care

• Educate patients on proper eye care and preventive measures

Requirements:

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited school of optometry

• Current state license to practice optometry

• Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of current optometric practices

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work well as part of a team
