Optician
Our Client is a growing healthcare organization based in Wildwood, FL that offers its employees full benefits, paid time off and a work-life balance.

The Position: An optician assists people with choosing and fitting frames for eyeglasses and contact lenses. They follow prescriptions given by optometrist or ophthalmologists in order to properly sell the appropriate eyeglass or contact lens. The client offers the following salary and benefits:
- $40,000 - $55,000 depending on experience
- Health, Vision, Dental
- 401k Profit Sharing
- 11 days of PTO + 8 paid holidays
- Reimbursement for CE
Requirements:
- Current license by the Florida Board of Opticianry
- Graduation from high school or GED
Responsibilities:
- Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm)
- Able to work in a team environment
- Provides direct customer sales.
- Enters all sales data completely and accurately at point of sale.
- Maintains Optical cleanliness and appearance for display of goods and equipment.
- Maintains smooth customer flow during hours of operation.
- Monitors wait times for service and for goods ordered--keeping customers informed on what we are doing to resolve problem.
- Provides best possible eye wear solution that is responsive to each customer needs.
- Knowledgeable of specific requirements of the various managed care vision plans.
- Handles customer relations.
