Job Summary

We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as Certified Ophthalmic Technologist. You will support providers in the care of Eye clinic patients through performance of acuity screenings, history taking and diagnostic eye tests. Range of activities include triage of walk-in patients, obtaining chief complaint and collecting initial patient data. Intermediate level of knowledge about ocular diseases, conditions, and treatment to participate in patient education is required.


Job Description

  • Technical responsibilities include auto-refraction, lensometry, Pachymetry, visual acuities, Visual Field testing, OCTs and Fundus imaging and other handheld devices.
  • Able to conduct patient interviews to obtain medical history/illness, current medications, and chief complaint.
  • Perform triage, visual acuities, tonometry, and dilation.
  • Able to auto-refract and use lensometry machines to obtain computerized measurements.
  • Able to operate Visual Field, OCT, and Fundus equipment, understanding imaging requirements.
