Job Summary

Our Critical Access Hospital is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist with strong clinical decision making skills, who is self-motivated and proficient in working with a variety of individuals with a wide range of medical conditions including orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary impairments. Primary caseload is approximately 50% outpatient orthopedic and 50% inpatient. Caseload is quality, not quantity driven. Our Physical and Occupational Therapy Department recognizes the vital role of prevention of injury and rehabilitation following an injury. We are committed to providing the highest quality of services to our community. Our therapists work to ensure patients are given the most comprehensive and progressive treatments with emphasis on establishing a home exercise program and teaching individuals techniques for self-management strategies.

Ideal candidates will have many opportunities for program development, collaboration with nursing and providers, spending time assisting with activities for LTC, acute, and Swing Bed patients. Home visits, assisting with DME needs, and coordination for discharge planning will be required for capable candidates. Multi-disciplinary therapy team includes four full-time Physical Therapists, one part-time Physical Therapy Assistant, two Rehab Aides, and a Front Office Coordinator.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Masters or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from accredited program
  • Current Washington state licensure or in the process of licensing for this state
  • Experience in treatment of orthopedic upper extremity diagnosis including hand, wrist, elbow and shoulders preferred
  • Experience performing ergonomic workstation assessments preferred
  • Experience in cognitive testing and training preferred
  • Feeding, eating, and swallowing certification preferred
  • Wheelchair evaluations and fittings preferred
